Black Friday Is Coming!

Image
In recent years, I have gotten away from Black Friday shopping. I found that shopping online is wonderful. But, I think this year is going to be different. I noticed that more stores are closing on Thanksgiving and reopening on Friday, like they used to. I think this is fantastic. I know that was part of the fun with me and my sister in law was getting up early, getting our coffee at Sheetz and then laughing at all the people who stood in line for hours. If you want to get a head start on your list, check out my favorite trusted Black Friday website  BFAds.net . There are already a bunch of scans up, including Target. I haven't seen anything that is going to make me get outta bed early, but you never know. Also you can do the order online, pick up in store, so you wouldn't have to brave the crowds!

Black Friday Sales!

Image
In years past, I have kept you guys up to date on the sales and when the ads were leaked. I realized I have failed this year.

Do You Go Black Friday Shopping?

Image
To go Black Friday shopping or not, that is the question. In years past, it has been a fun tradition with me and my sister in law to get up before dawn, stop at Sheetz for coffee and a donut and hit the sales.

Were You Impressed?

Image
I was just not impressed this year with Black Friday or even Cyber Monday this year. Maybe it is just me but I didn't find anything that really stuck out as a huge savings this year. I know that there were huge discounts on TVs, but we weren't in the market for those. I do know my NY sister in law's friend got a big TV for like 77$. So, there was that, but the stuff we were looking for, there just wasn't much. I don't know, tell me, were you impressed? Did you get lots of deals? I wanna know what you guys found! I can't list anything I bought since my kids sometimes read the blog! Bubby isn't a threat but the girls are! Let me know in the comments what you found! Me and my sister in law did have fun and good coffee, so it was a good day all around!

I survived! Review of Black Friday!

Image
This was my most prized purchase of the day. My sister in law and I went shopping Thanksgiving night with Doodle and then we got up and went shopping at 6 am on Friday. We had just left Toys R Us and I had looked at this and was shocked at the 45$ tag on it. We went across the parking lot to Ollie's and were just kind of perusing the store when I spotted it and I did the happy dance in the store because it was only 20$! If you don't know what Ollie's is, it's a discount closeout store where they have stuff from other stores that they got rid of and usually the prices there are wonderful! Even the cashier laughed at me because I was so excited! I was really impressed with Black Friday this year. Last year, I didn't find hardly anything, but this year I did. I would list all of the finds, but my teenage daughters may sneak a peek so I am just listing the best ones I got for Bubby who doesn't read this blog! At Target, my sister in law got one of the comforters ...

How Do You Black Friday?

Image
I was just wondering how everyone does their Black Friday shopping. My sister in law and I have gone almost every year for about 9 years now, but even our styles are different. I follow my sites like  BFAds and make my list before I get the printed ads on Thanksgiving and then compare lists to the ads. She just waits until Thanksgiving and looks through the ads. Then we get our lists together and plan our route and strategy. Last year we went out when the stores opened on Thanksgiving night, but this year I think we are going back to the old way and going on Friday morning like we used to. I may have to go to WalMart Thanksgiving night though to get the new Call of Duty during the 1 hour guarantee though. So, how do you all Black Friday? Are you a planner? Or are you the spontaneous one like my sister in law? There are some tips that I have learned over the years I wanted to share! 1. Carry very little with you. I just take my wallet in the stores with me. 2. I try to carry ve...

Keep Watch on These Black Friday Ads!

Image
Wow! These sales are really heating up! And we still have a week until the official day! The easiest way to keep up with all these sales I have found is to sign up and get emails from BFAds . Walmart is having a pre-Black Friday sale today with prices matching their Black Friday prices on over 100 products. And I just read in an email from BFAds, that Target and Amazon are matching some of the prices, like on Skylanders Swap starter packs and Disney Infinity starter packs for 37$! Also Amazon on Sunday, is going to have a Pre Black Friday sale starting at 12 am going all week. With things like the new Call of Duty Ghosts for 39.95! So, go over to  BFAds to keep up with all of these fantastic bargains. And go check out Walmart since they have the first sale!

Black Friday Openings!

Image
It's getting closer! And this year looks like a good one. I have my list getting longer and longer for Black Friday! What about you? How is your list looking? I figured I would list the opening times for the stores since some are starting earlier than last year and some are not opening until Black Friday. Here are the ones that are opening on Thanksgiving night: Gap and Old Navy open from 10:00am  - 4:00pm Thursday November 28th. Then close for 3 hours and open back up at 7:00pm Thursday. Big Lots is open Thanksgiving Day from 7am – 9pm and open again Friday at 6am KMart – Thursday November 28th – 6:00am Toys R Us - Thursday November 28th – 5:00pm Walmart – Thursday November 28th – Event #1 6:00pm – Event #2 8:00pm – Event #3 8:00am Target – Thursday November 28th – 6:00pm Best Buy – Thursday November 28th – 6:00pm Sears – Thursday November 28th – 8:00pm Macy’s – Thursday November 28th – 8:00pm Kohl’s – Thursday November 28th – 8:00pm JC Penney - Thursday N...

Woo hoo! Target's ad is finally up!

Image
BF Ads just posted the 36 page ad! This is one of the ones I've been waiting for. They tricked me the other day into thinking it had been posted but all that was posted was a sneak peek that Target had put up on Facebook, not the whole ad. But now it's up! What are you shopping for this year?

More Black Friday Ads!

Image
BFAds has put up a bunch of ads! Including Walgreens, Dollar General and Aeropostale. None of the big box stores yet. They always try to wait the longest. But there are quite a few up and I saw that Best Buy has leaked some of the door busters. Go check them out!

Go check out the new ads!

Image
Go check out BF Ads! They have a bunch of new ads that have been leaked up. Including Toys R Us! TRU is having their sale start on Thanksgiving again which I think is horrible, but they do have some deals which I am watching to see if anyone beats them. Target has new policies starting Nov 1!

Image
I just got an email from BF Ads that says that Target is updating their policies for the upcoming holiday season. 1 is about their price matching and 1 is about new pick up in store service. This is from the email- Chief among the changes is the extended price matching policy which states that Target will accept price matches on all qualifying items purchased between November 1 and December 21. Compared to the normal policy that only allowed price matches within seven days of purchase, this is quite the improvement. Restrictions do apply and, unsurprisingly, Black Friday sales are excluded from the policy. Also announced was their new store pickup service, where shoppers can purchase over 35,000 items on Target.com and pick up those same items from their local store shortly thereafter. The in-store pickup option is currently available at many Target locations, with a full rollout expected to be completed by November 1. The one caveat: the in-store pickup option is not a...
