This girl turned 20 yesterday! I can't believe it. I'm a day late, but I wanted to wish her aa happy birthday again! She astonishes us with all the things she accomplishes every day. She's kind, warm hearted and we wouldn't trade her for the world. We love her very very much and are thankful she is a part of our family! Happy birthday Doodle! That cutie on the right has a birthday today! My little man is 13! I officially have no littles anymore. I can't believe he is a teenager. Contrary to his sisters' beliefs, he is turning into a wonderful young man. Minus the usual teenager attitude. He makes us laugh every day and we love him so much! Happy birthday Bubby!!!

So, this week is my 40th birthday. Yep, I'm going to be officially old! To celebrate, I thought I would do something for all you wonderful readers and do a giveaway! My Hunny's birthday is coming up this weekend! And to spoil him, I asked what kind of birthday cake he wants. I made a chocolate cake with vanilla icing for his dad's birthday on New Year's Eve. Hunny asked for Red Velvet cake with chocolate frosting and coconut on top. I don't think I've ever seen that combination, but it's his birthday so that's what I'm making! I looked up in the trusty Better Homes and Gardens for a Red Velvet recipe. I don't think I had ever had this kind of cake before I moved down south. It is one of my favorites. It's not very hard to make from scratch either. This is my father in law, Jack. He is 81 today!!!! This man was born to be a grandpa, I swear. He's a wonderful guy. He makes me laugh every time I'm around him. And I love to hear his stories. He's got a ton of them. There's not much he hasn't done in his 81 years, I'm pretty sure. He adores his grandkids and has so much fun with them. And they adore him right back! This is my bestest friend in the whole wide world, Lindsey. If you know Lindsey, you know today is her 40th birthday!!! She is 72 days older than me. (I used to be angry about that when we were kids. Now, I love it!) She is an amazing friend and I don't know how I would have gotten this far without her. I hope she is the absolutely most fabulous birthday ever!!!

It is my oldest baby's birthday! She turns 21 today! Oh my heavens, where did the time go? I can't believe she is all grown up! I can't even pretend anymore! She has grown into such a beautiful young woman. A little headstrong, but she comes by that naturally. (All from her father's side, I swear!) I'm so glad she's moved home for a little while before she goes out into the world on more adventures. We are so proud that she's ours and we love her to pieces! Have an absolutely amazing birthday!

It's hard to believe he used to be small! Happy Birthday Bubby! He is 12 today! He was 6 in this picture. I can't believe how fast the time has gone with this one. He's now taller than me and has feet almost as big as his daddy's. He's becoming such an awesome young man and it's such a blessing to be able to see him grow and change. In our house, July is known as "the month of Bubby and Izzie"! Bubby was almost a 4th of July baby and Izzie was born at the end of the month. Yep, I was 9 months pregnant twice in July. Any mama who has had a baby in June, July or August knows what that means! This weekend is all about Bubby! We used to tell him that everyone letting off fireworks were celebrating his birthday. I remember his first 4th he cried all the way through the fireworks. But, he was also only 1 day old! This month should be quieter, other than birthdays. My sister in law has one in the middle and then it's all about Izzie! She's turning 21! Oh my goodness, I still can't believe that. I keep seeing it on the calendar and hear myself telling people, but it still hasn't sunk in. Where did the time go?
