Valentia Skin Detoxifying Clay Mask Review!

Image
**I received this mask free in exchange for my 100% honest review through Brandbacker. All opinions are 100% my own** I think I am in love with this face mask! I have reviewed products from Valentia before, but I think this one is my favorite! I love using face masks anyway, so I was excited to get this one. It smells heavenly! It's not quite floral, but not quite fruity in the scent. The consistency is perfect, in my opinion. It's not so thick that it's hard to smooth over your face, but not runny either. I can't stand it when a mask is runny. I was tickled with the key ingredient list because I felt so good about putting this on my face! The key ingredients are Kaolin clay, Plant Stem Cells, Spirulina, (a botanical stimulant), CoQ10, Hibiscus and Cranberry fibers, (hence the wonderful scent), and Astaxanthin. (A powerful antioxidant). It also contains aloe, rosehip oil, green tea, bearberry, violet, wild cherry, pomegranate, blueberry, lemon oil, rhubarb, kelp,...

Who Else Loves L'Oreal Revitalift?

**I received these products free through Influenster  in exchange for my 100% honest opinion. All opinions are my own** Ok, so I am almost 40. Being almost 40, I have to admit that the little lines are showing up on my face. You know the ones I mean. The little laugh lines around my eyes and my mouth. I understand that this is part of growing older, but it doesn't mean that I need to take it lying down. This line from L'Oréal is amazing. I mean amazing. I have been using the serum, the eye cream, the day cream and the night cream for 2 weeks now and I have noticed such a difference. My skin feels soft and looks so much better. It doesn't make me break out and it seems to be helping the breakouts I was having! Even though that's not what it's for! A little goes a long way with these too! The serum I only use about 4 drops for my whole face, a little dallop for my eyes of the eye cream, and the day and night creams only a smidgen for my whole face! The littl...

Here we go....UPDATE

Image
So I am committing to this "no poo" idea. Here is my before pic. Sorry for the pic. I don't photo well. Here is a pic of the back so you get a better idea of what my hair looks like. So, in about 3 weeks I will update with an after pic. If any of you are going to come with me on this journey, please leave a comment. And if you have already done this, please leave words of encouragement! I read that the first week is the worst. It's definitely going to take some getting used to not shampooing every time I get in the shower anymore! Hubby isn't sure what to think about it. But, at least during the bad first week, he's on a business trip! So he won't see it! Yay! UPDATE- I failed. I couldn't make it a week. My hair went crazy with the oil. It was bad. Really bad. I apologize for being weak!

Thoughts?

I just read an article over on Crunchy Betty about the "No-Poo" movement that really has me thinking. I hate my hair. I have been trying to grow it out and it is finally at a length I like but I can not find a product that doesn't dry it out to no end. This article is about how she decided to go "no-poo", which means not washing with shampoo anymore. Did you know that until the late 1930's women didn't shampoo? Shampoo didn't exist! And they didn't wash their hair more than every 2 weeks! Could you imagine? I can't go more than one day! But this no-poo makes so much sense! The shampoos that we use strip our hair of the natural oils that need to be there. When the oils are stripped, our hair kind of goes crazy loading on the oil, which is where the greasy hair comes from. The way that the "no-poo" works is 2-3 times a week, you take 1 tablespoon of baking soda and dilute it in 1 cup of water. You squirt this over your head and rub...

DIY Biore!

Image
Did you know this little gem is the main ingredient in making your own Biore type facial? Over on 15 Minute Beauty she has the steps you need to take to make this. She used milk to mix with it, but then said it can be mixed with just water. I haven't tried this yet, but I think I might soon. I have finally gotten my skin to where it looks decent. I have fought with acne for years. I didn't have much when I was a teenager and I swear it's like it's making up for lost time! From what I read, this will clean out anything that is in your pores and make them smaller. So go grab some unflavored gelatin and make some for you!
