What a weekend! As you already know, Izzie is all officially graduated. The ceremony was nice, but hot. Afterwards, we had a lovely time with friends and family at the house. We were up until God knows what time and had a lot of laughs. It was wonderful. She had a great day that she'll remember for a long time. I'm so thankful everyone got to come out and celebrate with her. She deserved all the love!  Mother's day was quiet. We just laid around and recuperated. Doodle gave me two new gnomes for my collection and Izzie is making me a remembrance book. My day was lovely. I couldn't ask for more. I hope all you mamas out there had just a great day as I did and got to love on your babies too!

Yesterday got me thinking. All over social media, you see memes about moms, funny ones, sentimental ones. And it got me thinking about all the moms out there. The new moms, the "seasoned" moms, the empty nesters, etc. How we all belong to the same club but are on different paths. Which then got me thinking about the people, like myself, who struggle with days like Mother's day. Whether they struggle because they have lost their mother, their child or are struggling with infertility. It makes me want to pull all of us together and say "Everything will be ok". Because no matter what path you are on, you are struggling with a different aspect of motherhood. To the new mom, who is sleep deprived, stressed and scared of this little person who has been put in your charge, I want to say, it will be ok. You will not make too many mistakes and those mistakes that are made, aren't that big a deal. We all have been there. And yes, you will figure out why the baby i...

I want to send my best wishes out to all the mothers out there! I'm doing it now, because I'll be quiet this weekend. After losing my mother, it's always been a hard weekend for me, but this year is going to be a little harder without my dad. It was always a little consolation that he was still around. So, I'm going to just enjoy my children this weekend and try to take it easy. Which I hope that all of you do too! Hug your mom and tell her thank you and hug your kids! (Circa 1977) Dear Mom, I just wanted to take a minute this Mother's Day to say that I love you and miss you more every day. Even after 20 years, it seems that there are times of the year that the pain gets deeper. This is one, your birthday, my birthday and when you passed. And for some reason, this year is worse than others. I keep thinking about how much you missed of my life. You missed me getting married, my babies being born, them growing up. You missed getting to be the spoiling grandmother I knew you would be. I think the part that I missed the most was the chance to go from the mother/daughter relationship to the friends. We started that but it never got to be where I see others have. I wish we could have had that. I'm thinking of you this weekend. Izzie didn't get here till much later in the day Sunday, so I didn't get a chance to show what the goofball gave me. A very cute kitty cat card that had "Happy Ma Day" written all over the inside and 2$. And I'm pretty sure that was her last 2$. She's working, but just started a new job in the middle of a pay cycle so she's got like 3 weeks till her first check. I tried to give it back to her but she wouldn't hear of it. I have no idea what I'm going to get with 2$, but I'm supposed to text her a pic when I spend it!

This is the card Doodle made me for Mother's Day. She knows I absolutely LOVE minions, I think they are just adorable! She found this idea on Pinterest and did it late last night. Isn't it just the cutest? And this is the card Bubby made me in school. When he got home Friday, I started going through his backpack like I usually do and saw pink construction paper. I asked him if I should be going through it and he jumped up and said no! The back says "Wika wika Love you" He's a goofball, but he's cute! My favorite presents are the homemade ones the kids make me. I have them saved from when they were itty bitty. They are just so precious!

I want to wish everyone a very Happy Mother's Day! Hubby came home early this morning so I get him all weekend! So I wanted to take the time now to send out my wishes! This is my mom. She's been gone for almost 19 years, but I still light a candle every Mother's Day and tell her I love her. So everyone, hug your moms this weekend and hug your kids!
