Caring for My Chaos

I caved. Yesterday, Hubby and I went and bought a new microwave. If you follow, you know I posted last month about my microwave that had been my mother's that I still used. It was 30 years old. Well, Hubby has been wanting me to buy a new one for a long time and I noticed that my old one was taking longer and longer to heat things up. So, I gave in. This is my new microwave. I'm still keeping my old one but only for sentimental value. It was sad to take it out, but I didn't realize how long it really did take. I would heat up a cup of water in there for tea and after 90 seconds, it would maybe be lukewarm. I heated up a cup in the new one and after 90 seconds, it was scorching! It was a good microwave and held up to 3 babies!

On anything! I wanted to share with you about my almost 30 year old microwave. Hubby has tried to get me to buy a new one but I refuse since this still works soo well! It's a Hotpoint and was manufactured in October of 1987. My mom bought it probably late 1987, early 1988. I inherited it when my dad married my stepmom and it has lasted through 3 babies! And still works wonderfully!If something still works well, I refuse to buy a new one just because! I'm waiting because I emailed the company to let them know and how happy I am it's lasted this long! I'll let you know what they say!
