Let's Talk Litter!

Image
**I received product in exchange for my 100% honest opinion. All opinions are my own** Now I have never really thought about cat litter. I usually only buy the cheapest cat litter there is. I didn't care if it clumped, was clay, it didn't matter. Just as long as it kept the smell away. Because I don't care how cute your cat is, they stink. Bad. So, I was really interested to try this Fresh Step Triple Action Scented Cat Litter. I had tried to steer away from scented cat litters because I had found the cheap ones made the smell worse. This litter surprised me. Not only did it keep the smell away for the whole week, the scent didn't make the smell worse! It clumps very well. And easy clean up. It came right out of the box without having to beat the box all to hell. Kitty seemed to like it too. I think the smaller granules are easier on the paws. Overall, this was a win. I was happy and Kitty was happy. What more can you ask for? You can buy this on Chewy.com in a pa...

For The Kitties!

Image
**I received this product in return for my 100% honest review. All opinions are my own** Now, I have seen these cat scratchers before and thought "How can cardboard hold up to a kitty scratching?" I have to say, I am impressed! Mishka went nuts for this! I think the catnip that comes with it helped, but she went to town scratching it and you can't even tell she did! There's no damage. Above is an action shot of her having fun on it. Plus this is double sided for it to last longer. It is also made out of recycled and recyclable cardboard. It's big enough for her to plop down and sleep on it too when she's worn out.  There literally isn't anything about this that didn't impress me! I was even impressed that the catnip is made in North America. If you have kitties, go grab one at Chewy.com!

**This is a sponsored post. I received this product in exchange for my 100% honest review. All opinions are my own** I figured since I've been showing you great stuff for the puppies, that we needed to include the kitties too! This month's choice from our buddies at Chewy.com is Royal Canin Hair and Skin Care kitty food. I have to tell you, our cat loves this stuff! As soon as she caught a whiff of it, she was on it. It is full of good stuff for them. It has fish oil which is great for their skin and fur, amino acids, B vitamins, and antioxidants. Everything a kitty would need to look his or her best! I have noticed already that Mishka's fur is a little shinier. And like I said, she absolutely loves the stuff. And it comes with a 21 day guarantee that you will see a difference in their skin and fur. So, you can feed with confidence that this will help the kitties be soft and silky! I have not found anything about this food that I haven't liked. She loves it, no mes...

Please Help The Kitties!

I'm a sucker for cats and dogs. I really am. Near where I live, our Humane Society's "Cat House" has suffered some major building issues. They have foundation problems and need funding to repair it or about 45 kitties will be without a home! This is where they keep them until they are adopted. This is a call out to all the kitty lovers out there! Please go here and donate to help these volunteers keep the kitties' temporary home warm and dry for them!

And with it comes the fleas. I have posted this before, but I think it stands repeating. The best flea shampoo you can get is blue Dawn dish liquid. My poor doggy is allergic to fleas, I believe. We almost lost him about 3 years ago because he got a hot spot from all the itching he was doing and it got infected. After that, I did some research into it to find the best way to keep him unitchy. Last year, the way I did it was I gave him a bath in the blue Dawn and as soon as he was dry, followed with Hartz flea drops. I did that once a month during the summer months and we didn't have any problems! The blue Dawn is gentle on the skin and is safe for animals. The fleas literally JUMP off the animal. I even used it on our cat when we first got her and she was only about 4 weeks old. She was covered in fleas from being born outdoors. She hated the bath, but the shampoo didn't hurt her. So, this year, get yourself a big bottle of blue Dawn and you shouldn't have any problems wi...

For the kitties...

Here is a pattern for a cute kittie toy! Dabbles and Babbles has the pattern on the site and I think this is just adorable! Like my cat needs another toy, but still. She's such a diva though because she'll be playing with one of her toys and you pick it up to throw it for her, she'll run after it, stop, sit on it like an egg and then walk away. She's got such an attitude problem.

Scary thing on the news...

I don't know how many of you watch Good Morning America, but this morning, they had a warning out about chicken, duck and sweet potato jerky treats for dogs. They said that the FDA hasn't determined what brands are impacted so they can't do a recall yet but that these kinds of treats coming out of China have made over 3000 dogs and cats sick and have killed almost 600! They said that on the package, they are not required to say what country these treats come from so it's hard to see what brands are affected, but to be safe, not to give your pets chicken, duck or sweet potato jerky treats! This scared me! I'm happy we stick to Beggin Strips! They said the symptoms are decreased appetite, decreased activity and vomiting. And it can lead to kidney failure and intestinal bleeding. The poor babies! Check your treats and be careful!

Today you can get a free can of Sheba cat food by copying and pasting this link: http://www.startsampling.com/sm/sams/?item=102879&w=1 which in most cases, you are going to order for your cat. In my case, my cat is an idiot and won't touch it. So I order it for my dog! I let her try it, but she will just sniff it and walk away so my dog gets all excited about his treat!
