Caring for My Chaos

From everything that I have been seeing, this storm that is supposed to hit the East Coast this weekend is going to be a doozy! Even here in VA, they are saying anywhere from 6-12 inches. That will shut the entire city down. You Northerners laugh, but it will! Even a couple inches down here will shut it down. I hit the grocery store today because by Thursday, it will be a madhouse trying to get into any store. The kids are counting on tons of snow so they get out of school! We are stocked in people and pet food. Gotta keep my fur babies full too! And, I have new yarn, so I am ready! Everyone, be careful and if you can, stay home and stay warm!

Since most of the country, and as you can see, us Virginians, are stuck in this cold, I figured I would take a minute to talk about winterizing. There are a lot of things you can do to make your home as cozy as possible when it's 7 degrees outside!

Even though it's only October, the temperatures here in Virginia are starting to dip into the 40's overnight. That made me start to winterize our house. Do you do anything to winterize?

Schools are closed again! We have missed so much time this year that they are tacking an extra 15 minutes onto the days now! And then we get a snow/ice storm yesterday that is still going on today. This is ridiculous! I can't remember the last winter we had like this and I have lived here over 20 years now. It just won't quit! Doodle is mad because she was supposed to work the opening day of softball and baseball today as athletic trainer. Bubby is quite happy. Any school that he can miss without being sick, he'll take. Right now, he's eating his Cocoa Puffs and watching Randy Cunningham Ninth Grade Ninja. And Izzie made it back to college before the storm moved in so she's happy because she's back with her friends. The first day of spring is this week! I see no spring! Who else is sick of this winter? And is ready for warm?
