Jalapeno Bites

Image
Since it's football season, I figured I should do one of the recipes that we have on Sundays sometimes while watching. We are big football fans here, with a friendly rivalry since I married a Cowboys fan and am a lifelong Giants fan. I lost the bet and the kids like the Cowboys, except our middle daughter who likes the Dolphins. Go figure. Anyways, these are simple and so easy to make. Everyone loves them. 12 jalapenos, sliced in half and scooped out. Be careful of the seeds and wash your hands after. Do NOT touch your face while doing this recipe 1 cup cheese (We like cheddar but feel free to use any kind you like) Bacon bits or you can cook a few slices of bacon and crumble it. Lay the jalapenos on cookie sheet cut side up. Mix the cheese with the bacon and sprinkle over the jalapenos. Fill them up. Bake at 350 for about 10 min or less until cheese is melted. Enjoy!

These are adorable!!

Last football thing today I promise! But this one is for us girls! Jane.com has these bracelets for 11.99! Shipping is 2.99 for the first item, .99 for each addl. So even if your team is having a season like mine, the Giants, are then you can still look cute!

Hubby Present Alert!

Image
Amazon has NFL hats on sale for 14.99 with free shipping! These are normally 19.99 and you can choose which team you want. Now if it was my house, my hubby would pick the Cowboys and I would pick the Giants. Which I'm not proud of this year, but that's beside the point. So go to  Amazon and order one today!

My Niece's Homecoming!

Image
This is my niece, who's Homecoming was this weekend. She is a cheerleader on the youth cheerleading squad who cheers for the youth football teams. She's a Midget this year. They did so good this weekend! They did all my favorite cheers! Here she is with her little pom poms! And here's Little Man with her before her game. Aren't they adorable? They are only 2 months apart in age. They get asked all the time if they are siblings. They are just adorable. I swear.

Homecoming!

This is Doodle and Little Man as a soldier and Gavroche from Les Miserables. The high school had Homecoming last night and Doodle is vice president of the French Club. Their float was the barricade from Les Miserables. The club really did a great job and they even won for one of the best floats! Hubby was the driver since we have a big trailer and I don't know who was more excited, him or Doodle. There is the barricade all put together. Aren't they adorable? They even sang "Do You Hear The People Sing?" as they went past the crowds. They really had a great time. And the football team won! Against our rivals too! Great night all around!

Buffalo Chicken Sliders

I think I'm going to make this for dinner one night. I know they are supposed to be like an appetizer but I think if I just use bigger buns, it could be the main dish. They look sooo good! And easy! Just throw in the crockpot! I have seen this recipe in many variations all over the internet but this one in particular is from allrecipes.com and I chose this one because it cooks the ranch in it, which my ranch crazy family will enjoy!   4 chicken breasts 1 bottle buffalo wing sauce, such as Frank's Red Hot 1/2 package dry ranch mix 2 T butter Either small rolls, hamburger buns, or hoagie rolls, whichever way you want to serve them   Place chicken in the crockpot and pour 3/4 of the bottle of sauce and the ranch mix over top. Cover, cook on low 6-7 hours. Once cooked, add butter and shred finely with 2 forks. Pile on rolls and splash with remaining sauce to serve. I have also seen where they put some ranch on top before serving. Yum!
