Here we go....UPDATE

So I am committing to this "no poo" idea. Here is my before pic. Sorry for the pic. I don't photo well. Here is a pic of the back so you get a better idea of what my hair looks like.
So, in about 3 weeks I will update with an after pic. If any of you are going to come with me on this journey, please leave a comment. And if you have already done this, please leave words of encouragement! I read that the first week is the worst. It's definitely going to take some getting used to not shampooing every time I get in the shower anymore! Hubby isn't sure what to think about it. But, at least during the bad first week, he's on a business trip! So he won't see it! Yay!


UPDATE- I failed. I couldn't make it a week. My hair went crazy with the oil. It was bad. Really bad. I apologize for being weak!

OK, this started as another one of those "Pinterest Experiments" to see if it would really work, and it actually did! I had read on Pinterest that you can do a body wrap at home wayyyy cheaper than at spas. All you need is lotion, plastic wrap and whatever body part you want to lose about .5 in on. Seriously. I did it on my stomach, because after 3 children, I have the "pooch". I hate the "pooch". I figured that this wouldn't hurt, so while Hubby was in Washington, I tried it. All you do is put lotion on the body part you are working on. It's preferable to have a lotion with something from the sea in it, like seaweed, kelp, etc, but not absolutely necessary. Put A LOT on. I mean to where it's not soaking in anymore. Then you wrap the body part in plastic wrap. You can either secure it with an ace bandage or do what I did and just tape it.
