Amwell-Doctors Come To You!
**This is a sponsored post with Mums the Word Network and Amwell. All opinions are my own.**
Amwell is a new at home medical service that brings the doctors to you! I think this is such a great idea and wish that this was around when my kids were younger. Taking a sick little one to the doctor's is no fun. Even taking yourself when you're sick is no fun. Now, you can log onto Amwell, choose your provider, whether it is family care, pediatrics, dermatology, therapy, you name it, and you can connect right now! Each visit costs 49$, some cost a little more, but they can also bill your insurance and the visits could be covered!
They have all different fields of medicine to choose from. There's primary care, adult medicine, family physicians, nutritionists, counselors, psychologists, internists, emergency medicine, pediatricians, etc! I really like that you can click on any physician and see their profile. It shows things like where they went to school, how long they have been practicing, where they did their residencies, what are their affiliations, clinical interests and where they are located!
There's a section to keep track of your health record with them and you can even make appointments. Under My Account section, you can set up to have any records from your visits sent to your Primary Care Provider or any other doctors you may see, set your preferred pharmacy so that if the doctor you are talking to prescribes anything, it'll be automatically sent to it. You can even set which hospitals if you want records of your visits sent to them. It really is just like bringing the doctor's office to your home!
The website is easy to navigate and the service is so easy to use. You sign up, which includes your email, name, state and birthdate. The reason they need your state is that you will only be shown providers who are licensed to practice in your state. You can also input your insurance information at sign up or do it later. Then you click on the list on the right that coincides with what you are seeing the doctor about and pick a physician who is online. If the physician you want is offline, there is a toll free number to call and schedule an appointment. If you have any problems with the video, they even have a section that can test every component, webcam, microphone, internet speed. It'll let you know if you are ready for your online visit and what to do if there is any problem. There is even a separate toll free number for support.
I had a fantastic experience with this site and will definitely keep it for future use. I really like that they have so many different specialties and that they can work with my primary care physician.
For all my wonderful readers, if you sign up with Amwell and use the service, your first visit will be free with code CARENOW9! Definitely go check this out and sign up. This is such a valuable service and is great for anyone, but especially moms! We spend so much time in doctor's offices with little ones, and this makes it so easy! From the comfort of your own home!
