My Harvest!

Well, even though I planted basil, cilantro, thyme and oregano, the only one that did well was the basil. And did it do well!I just harvested all the leaves that were on the plants because we have a frost warning coming on Sunday. I got so many that they filled 2 layers of the dehydrator! And it smelled so good! So, now I am dehydrating them so they will last me all winter. With my handy dandy dehydrator, it takes less than half an hour to dehydrate, but you have to check them every 10 minutes or they could scorch. Oh, and did I mention that in addition to my little pink plant I now have a little cactus named Stanley? I found him yesterday at Kroger and it's just adorable! It even came in a little planter that you put on the side of the fridge with magnets!
Isn't it cute? And they are really hard to kill so he should do wonderfully in this house!

OK, this started as another one of those "Pinterest Experiments" to see if it would really work, and it actually did! I had read on Pinterest that you can do a body wrap at home wayyyy cheaper than at spas. All you need is lotion, plastic wrap and whatever body part you want to lose about .5 in on. Seriously. I did it on my stomach, because after 3 children, I have the "pooch". I hate the "pooch". I figured that this wouldn't hurt, so while Hubby was in Washington, I tried it. All you do is put lotion on the body part you are working on. It's preferable to have a lotion with something from the sea in it, like seaweed, kelp, etc, but not absolutely necessary. Put A LOT on. I mean to where it's not soaking in anymore. Then you wrap the body part in plastic wrap. You can either secure it with an ace bandage or do what I did and just tape it.
