Today is the first day of spring! Thank the Lord! I am ready for warm! And today and tomorrow are going to be in the 60's and we have sunshine! Yay!!! Happy Spring everyone!!!
OK, this started as another one of those "Pinterest Experiments" to see if it would really work, and it actually did! I had read on Pinterest that you can do a body wrap at home wayyyy cheaper than at spas. All you need is lotion, plastic wrap and whatever body part you want to lose about .5 in on. Seriously. I did it on my stomach, because after 3 children, I have the "pooch". I hate the "pooch". I figured that this wouldn't hurt, so while Hubby was in Washington, I tried it. All you do is put lotion on the body part you are working on. It's preferable to have a lotion with something from the sea in it, like seaweed, kelp, etc, but not absolutely necessary. Put A LOT on. I mean to where it's not soaking in anymore. Then you wrap the body part in plastic wrap. You can either secure it with an ace bandage or do what I did and just tape it. Since I did it around my belly, I just taped it to itself and it stayed in place. Then you go to bed. Whe...

Thank the blogger who nominated you and link back to their blog. 3.Write 11 random facts about yourself 4. Nominate 11 fellow bloggers who you feel deserve this award and have less than 1000 followers 5. Answer 11 questions posted by your presenter and in turn ask your nominees 11 questions! My 11 Random Facts: 1. I am a transplanted Yankee! I grew up in New York State. 2. I love coffee and wine equally. 3. Me and Hubby were high school sweethearts. 4. I lo...

I can also attest to not asking for help when I should. It is known as the silent epidemic for a reason. I believe that if we keep ourselves informed, and know what to look for, we can help our family members make it through the holidays smoothly! ************************************************************* As the holiday season’s spirit and cheer kick in, it can be hard to imagine feeling glum. But for the 3.3 million Americans suffering from anxiety -- plus millions more suffering from related conditions like depression and OCD -- the expectations of joy and merriment can backfire, triggering hopelessness and causing symptoms to flare. That’s because the mere thought of trying to meet these expectations can be overwhelming, Maggie explains. People with anxiety and r...
