We Love Netflix!

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Netflix for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

For those who don't know, Netflix is a movie service. You sign up with them and they have a variety of plans that you can choose from. You can choose the streaming only, movies in the mail only, or you can have both. They have different prices to fit every budget. You get to watch your favorite movies where and when you want. You can be watching on an Ipad in the kitchen while you're cooking! And the kids could be in the living room at the same time watching a movie. It's a great service for families! We love their original series like House of Cards and Orange is the New Black but we also like catching up on our other favorites like the Walking Dead. They have great kids' movies too. Bubby loves watching The Lorax and The Hunger Games. I especially love watching National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation while I'm baking Christmas cookies! That movie is hilarious!
Netflix has gotten together with Chef Curtis Stone who created recipes that were inspired by Netflix Original series like House of Cards, Orange is the New Black, and Arrested Development. I chose to do Freddy's Sticky Saucy Ribs from House of Cards. They turned out wonderful! First, you take the ribs.
And you rub them all over with the spice rub and let it marinate for 4-24 hours. While that's happening, you make the barbecue sauce. Then you can either barbecue the ribs or bake them. We chose to barbecue them. They turned out fantastic!
Don't they just look yummy? Here's the whole recipe:
RUB
1/4 c packed brown sugar
3T sweet paprika
2t kosher salt
2t fresh ground pepper
1/2 t cayenne
1/2 t cumin
BBQ Sauce
2 T canola oil
1 yellow onion chopped
3 garlic cloves finely chopped
1 t smoked paprika
1/2 c whiskey
1 1/4 c cider vinegar
2 c reduced sodium chicken broth
1 1/2 c ketchup
1 c honey
2 T worcestershire sauce
2 T mustard
1 t kosher salt
1/2 t fresh ground black pepper
1/4 t cayenne

4 racks pork baby back ribs
3/4 c cider vinegar

Make spice rub by combining all ingredients for the rub. Rub all over the ribs. Cover and let marinate 4-24 hours.
In a large saucepan, heat oil over medium heat. Add onion and cook stirring for about 5 minutes. Stir in garlic and cook 3 minutes. Stir in paprika, then whiskey and vinegar. Bring to simmer and simmer 3 minutes. Stir in broth, ketchup, honey, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt, pepper, cayenne and bring to simmer over high heat. Reduce to medium low heat and simmer uncovered, stirring often for 30 minutes.
Cook the ribs on the grill over indirect low heat. Spray with 3/4 c vinegar + 3/4 c water mixture every 45 minutes for 3 hours. Once ribs are tender, begin brushing with BBQ sauce and cook for 30 minutes more.

Alternative Oven method
Position racks in the center and upper third of the oven. Preheat to 375. Cover ribs on cooking sheets with foil. Bake rotating the sheets and basting after the first 45 minutes. Recover and cook 1 1/2 hours or till tender. Uncover and baste. Continue cooking 10 minutes basting every few minutes. Enjoy!
