Guess What Tomorrow Is!

This lady is graduating college!! Yep, our baby, Izzie, is going to graduate tomorrow and we are so proud of her! (This pic is from her 4th grade Christmas play so I expect she'll hate me for using it. lol) She has had a rough go of it through college, almost dropping out twice, academic probation, only to rebound and come out with over a 3.0 gpa and an honorable mention! Get ready because I'm going to post LOTS of pics tomorrow of her in her cap and gown! There are no words to describe how proud we are and how much she is loved. Congratulations Izzie!

DIY Body Wrap

OK, this started as another one of those "Pinterest Experiments" to see if it would really work, and it actually did! I had read on Pinterest that you can do a body wrap at home wayyyy cheaper than at spas. All you need is lotion, plastic wrap and whatever body part you want to lose about .5 in on. Seriously. I did it on my stomach, because after 3 children, I have the "pooch". I hate the "pooch". I figured that this wouldn't hurt, so while Hubby was in Washington, I tried it. All you do is put lotion on the body part you are working on. It's preferable to have a lotion with something from the sea in it, like seaweed, kelp, etc, but not absolutely necessary. Put A LOT on. I mean to where it's not soaking in anymore. Then you wrap the body part in plastic wrap. You can either secure it with an ace bandage or do what I did and just tape it. On My Journey: Cataracts

Along with my entire family, I wear glasses.  I have for about 3 years now.  I had noticed about two months ago that my left eye was really bad.  I couldn't see anything out of it, just blurry blobs.  So,  I carried myself to the eye doctors, expecting to get a new prescription.  He dilated my eyes because my left eye failed all the tests.  Imagine my surprise when he tells me that at the age of 42, I have cataracts.  I couldn't believe it! He said this is extremely rare, but does happen.  I ended up leaving there with a referral to an eye surgeon instead of a prescription.  Now I'm waiting to go see the eye surgeon.  I'm a little nervous even though I know it's an easy,  routine surgery.  I will keep all you wonderful readers updated as this progresses!
